Local book appraiser and consultant to the Locust Grove annual Used Book Sale, Charles Bartman, talks about how to assess the value of the books in your collection, and what makes a book valuable. Admission: $5/person, free for Friends of Locust Grove. Fee of $5 for one book appraisal (only one book/person, please).

(memberships can be purchased at the door)

More than 14,000 used, antiquarian, and new books in all categories will be offered for sale. Categories include history, biography, mysteries, reference, science fiction, travel, cookbooks, children's, spirituality, Kentucky, romance, crafts, and much more. Prices begin at $1 for paperbacks, and $2 for most hardcovers; with a selection of illustrated books, rare books, and sets, priced individually. All books are sorted by category and are in good condition. Because of the volume of donations, books will be added to the display during the sale.

ALL BOOKS HALF-PRICE on Sunday all day - or by the bag, whichever is best for you.

And for Friends of Locust Grove, we'll have a special preview on Thursday, March 1, from 5:00 to 7:30. You'll have the first chance at the books! Memberships available at the door.
