A significant part of the budget of historic
Locust Grove comes from donations from individuals,
businesses, corporations, and foundations. We welcome
donations at any time, either for general support, or
targeted to a particular program.
Operating
Support - used for the general needs
of site maintenance, preservation, programs, and presentation
to the public
Capital
Support - used for special long-term
projects, such as construction and repair of buildings,
adding to the collection, or maintaining the gardens
Endowment
- our endowment is invested, and an annual percentage
is withdrawn for operational needs. The principal grows,
and supports the long-term existence of the site
